About Flash, Video and Audio Content

NeatClubs.COM provides a number of different ways to add rich media content to your web-pages.  Placing audio and video on the web can be tricky because the file sizes tend to be very large.  For this reason a popular choice is to upload content to YouTube and then embed a reference to the content on your own site.  For those that have smaller video files and would prefer to upload them to their own website, this approach is supported also.

Embedding YouTube Content in your pages
Linking directly to a YouTube site
Uploading Audio files to your site
Uploading Video and Flash files to your site
Dealing with very large files
Controlling the behaviour of embedded Flash Elements
Using Flash in the header

Loading Flash Elements into the Web Page Header

NeatClubs.COM recognizes flash content in the web page header.  For convenience, flash elements may be directly uploaded into the image library and used as a graphics header. Make sure you classify the uploaded Flash file as a Web Header Graphic. NeatClubs.COM will recognize that the element is a flash component and will construct the necessary HTML to control how the flash element is played.

The properties of the header (configured under "System Setup" / "Preferences" / "Appearance") must be set to pixel dimensions that exactly match the size of the uploaded flash image to avoid the flash graphic being distorted.

We recommend that you review the more detailed explanation provided in the section Using Flash in the Header and create an alternate static image for browsers that do not support flash or have flash disabled.

Incorporate Flash Content into Document Pages

Website administrators will often want to incorporate Flash content directly into their web pages.  You can read about the procedure for incorporating Flash into your web pages in the manual section entitled Uploading Video and Flash Files.

Instructions are also provided for dealing with Video or Flash files that may be too large to upload through the web-browser.
