About Clublink In addition to its ability to help clubs manage membership, schedules and club-level accounting, Clublink interfaces with the central databases maintained by several Provincial Sport Organizations. NeatClubs.COM provides a simple mechanism to new registrations in a format that they can be brought into Clublink via a "copy-paste" mechanism. The copy/paste mechanism is accessible from the "Members" screen in Clublink as well as the "Class" screen. Note the Clublink screen below showing how the F8 key can be used to paste member data from the Windows clipboard (lower-right corner).
The Clublink Field Structure Unlike NeatClubs.COM where registration records are centered around the web-site account holder, Clublink records are centered around individual program participants. In NeatClubs.COM it is assumed that a family member holds a login to the web-site (most often a parent), and that there will be multiple event level registrations per family (e.g. multiple siblings registered in multiple programs in multiple years and sessions. Clublink is the inverse of this - every athlete is unique, and mappings between athletes are made based on common family information. Because of this difference in approach to managing members, the mappings between NeatClubs.COM (the club level web-based registration system) and Clublink (the PC based club management system) can be a little tricky. Fortunately, we've documented these mappings for you, and have configured some example registration "event" definitions that support a direct data transfer Clublink. While Clublink has many tables in its database, there is a "main" database table (Tempmain.DBF) that is particularly important as it includes the membership information. Depending on your version of Windows, this table can be found in the directory c:\Program Files\Clublink\Athlete. Membership records can be accessed via the "Membership" view in Clublink as shown below. The Clublink member related fields are separated into different tabs. Note that the integration between NeatClubs.COM and Clublink at this time extends only to copying and updating these membership specific records. It does not extend to other features in Clublink such as attendance, management of staff, class lists, payment tracking and so on. The first step in setting up a NeatClubs.COM registration event for use with Clublink is to associate the NeatClubs.COM fields with Clublink fields.Click here to learn how to do this.
