Protecting your photos from others
While there is some ability to restrict access to photos in NeatClubs, none of the mechanisms are robust enough to dissuade a determined, knowledgeable visitor from gaining access to your photos.
You can however provide some level of protection as follows:
| • | Make sure that when a picture is contributed, you do not check the box that makes photos accessible to the public. Ensuring this field is “unchecked” will make sure that the photo is not visible in the photo gallery to visitors who are not logged in. This makes it very difficult for non-logged in visitors to discover and view your photos. |
| • | You may also simply not include the Photo Group in which this picture resides in the photo gallery (see Photo Groups under Categories & Definitions), or you may elect to remove the photo gallery option entirely from your web-site using the side panel Menu Setup options. |
| • | Finally, the system can make it difficult for visitors to download your photos by disabling the “right-click” functionality used in most browsers to download images. To disable image downloading in this manner, select “System Setup”, “Preferences”, “Photos” and set the parameter governing whether a user can right-click to download images to “No”. |
