Event

In NeatClubs.COM, an event is something that defines an activity that a user can register for. For example, events can have properties like descriptions, dates, durations, forms that need to be filled in, cost requirements, registrant notification policies and so on.  NeatClubs.COM uses the same mechanism to create registrations for classes, parties, competitive meets, create birthday and dinner reservations etc. Valid types of "Event" in NeatClubs are:

Photo Gallery

This refers to a particular view of photos in NeatClubs.COM where thumbnails of uploaded photos appear, separated into groups.  The Photo Gallery will typically display a subset of the available photos stored in the Photo Library

Photo Library

The Photo Library is a repository of uploaded photos.  The photo library is viewed in a list format and is searchable allowing selected users and administrators to modify image properties or delete photos. The photo library includes specialty graphics such as Web Header Graphics, EMail Header Graphics and Side Panel graphics used in advertisments

Photo Collection

This is a collection of photos that share a common User Category

Document Library

The document library is a repository of web-pages that also includes any uploaded files (e.g. PDF files, Word documents, Power point files etc.). Special types of documents also exist in the Document Library including the text that goes in the headers and footers of outgoing e-mails, terms of use documents etc.

Content Area & Side Panels

NeatClubs.COM supports operation with one, two or three panels (two and three panel modes being the most common). Every site has a Content Area that appears under the header of the web-site. This is where the text of the web page appears. To the left of the Content area is the Left Side Panel. The Left Side Panel will typically contain a side panel menu. Sites may also optionally have a Right Side Panel that appears to the right of the Content Area

Header

This is the graphic image that typically appears at the top of a web-site. NeatClubs.COM supports graphic images in JPG, PNG or GIF formats and also automatically supports Flash content in the header.

SubHeader

The SubHeader is a horizontal bar that appears under the header that contains information like the date and organization name. It also provides some convenience links use to administrators who are logged in. This element can be optionally disabled

Footer

The page footer appears as a horizontal bar across the bottom of the web-site. This bar cannot be disabled.

Custom Ads

Refers to user-defined ads placed on the side panel areas of the web-site.  NeatClubs supports three text based ads and three graphical ads. Additional advertisements can be placed using the side panel documents facility or by incorporating advertising messages into a photo collection and having those photos appear in the side panel.

Session

NeatClubs.COM uses a technology called "sessions" to recognize repeat visitors and provide context for interactive activities. The first time you access the website, a session will automatically be started and will remain active for the next 60 minutes. Sessions are required in the context of a registration, and the use of sessions enables NeatClubs to remember who you are as you navigate from screen to screen.
