Configuring the Home Page Slideshow
To configure a home page slideshow, the first step is to ensure that slide shows are enabled in the system setup.
1) Select System Setup, Preferences, Home Page
2) Ensure that "Use Slideshow" is set to "Yes"
3) Make sure that the "Photo User Category to show as Slideshow" is set to the appropriate photo collection.
For best results, all of the pictures in your slideshow should be the same size in terms of pixels - otherwise some images will appear to be distorted when played in a slideshow.
To ensure the best possible image quality, NeatClubs.COM allows you to set both the height and width of the graphic elements in your slideshow. A reasonable width is normally 500 pixels wide depending on the width you have set for your center panel / content area.
If, for example, your images are in landscape mode with a 4:3 aspect ratio, and you set with the width to 500 pixels, this means that the height would be 375 pixels. (500*3/4)
A restriction of images that appear in these self-running slides shows is that they must be in JPG format. This is because the slideshow javascript component we are using only recognizes JPG files.
