Event Descriptions

Usually the first step in registration is to display some high level information about the event.  This event descriptive text is defined in the event setup.  The example below shows a class registration event where a web-site is registering for a program called "Ages 1 to 3" taking place on Tuesday @ 10:30 AM. (If we select a particular time slot from the schedule, NeatClubs is smart enough to pre-select the time slot that the user is registering for - otherwise they will see a selection screen similar to the one at the bottom of this page.

Again, depending on the event type, NeatClubs may display additional information beyond the descriptive text.  For example, because this is a class registration, details like the Session, Start Date, Time, Facility, Age Criteria and Pricing information are all displayed automatically assuming they are defined in the event setup.  After reviewing an explanation of the offering, users are invited to click "Continue" to proceed to the next registration step. If users link directly to a class registration event in a way that does not first select them to specify a date and time, they will automatically see the screen below. (This is true only for class style registration events, since simple on-line registrations do not have the notion of multiple available time slots per registration) - Note that if class capacities are setup. NeatClubs will monitor these to prevent programs from becoming over-subscribed.

Some registration events may be configured with Advanced Features such as "auto-open facilities" or different pricing structures for members and non-members. As an example of one of these, an event may be configured with a "password" so that only people who know the password can proceed to registration.  This is a useful feature for organizations that may want to give early or preferential access to on particular group of users or customers.

Alternatively, descriptions for resource reservations style events may be presented as shown below. In this example we publish a schedule, and the system automatically presents the description off an offered birthday showing the next time slots available for booking in a 90 day window.
