Some types of events will take place at particular date and time while others will have no date or time related properties. As examples, a "Contact Us" form, or a "Donate Money" form would probably be setup in such a way that they would invite a registration at any time and would have no associated date. For other event types like camps and class schedules the dates are based on a schedule. "One-time" single events will take place on a specific date. The date properties screen used to configure the date of an event is shown below. The text description vary slightly depending on the type of event Subject to settings related to the calendar in the system setup, events with dates may appear in the calendar as well as in the upcoming event listing. Dates and times are accessed in the event setup by clicking on the Dates and Times link similar to the one below.
For events other than classes and resource reservations, the date and time setup will appear as below:
For Classes and Resource Reservations a schedule needs to be defined. In the case of classes, we might offer programs at particular times on different days of the week, and in the cases of facility bookings there are specific times that resources are "bookable". For Class and Resource Reservation event types the more complex schedule time slot setup screen shown below appears. This schedule is used to defining a recurring schedule that typically repeats weekly. There are a number of convenience graphics that can be used to accelerate entering times on the schedule below. Placing your mouse of any of these icons causes a message to appear that explains what the various icons do.
Additional information specific to classes (and resource reservations) is specified by clicking on the Class Settings link as shown below. Classes need to be associated with a session and calendar year. They may also be associated with event categories. Valid session names and event category names specific to your organization are configured under "System Setup" / "Categories & Definitions".
