Configuring mail on iPhone/iTouch/iPad

Top  Previous  Next

This example shows how to setup for NeatWorx e-mail on an Apple device.

Although this example was done on an iPad, the procedure for iPhone and iTouch devices is essentially the same.

First go into Settings on your apple device.

Find the Mail, Contacts, Calendars tab and under ‘Accounts’ Press ‘Add Account...’

A New Account screen will appear as below.

Fill in the e-mail details for your domain that were provided to you.

Select ‘Next’ in the top right corner.

Ensure you have ‘POP’ selected.

Fill in your details in the ‘Name’, ‘Address’, ‘User name’ and ‘Password’. The ‘Host Name’ is mail.<your-domain-name>.

Select “Save’ in the top right corner and a message should pop up in a few seconds.

This is normal if you have not purchased a certificate for your domain and you can safely ignore the warning and continue..

Press continue and you should be done! Go into your mail app and you should get your mail.

Troubleshooting:

If you’re not getting your email return to the ‘Mail, Contacts, Calendars’ tab in the settings. Ensure your ‘Default Account’ is the account that you just setup.

Select your new account under ‘Accounts’ look under the Outgoing Mail Server and press the SMTP. Press your new account under primary server and ensure the server port is 587 for outgoing SMTP rather than the default port 25 often blocked by service providers.
