Class registration events are useful for classes that recur weekly against a published schedule. Classes will have a fixed start date and recur for a pre-defined number of weeks.
As examples:
| • | Recreational athletics programs |
While NeatClubs.COM normally supports one class per week, special provisions exist to support cases where there are multiple classes per week.
While setting up class style events is similar to setting up other types of events, a key difference is in how the class schedule is expressed.
For purposes of illustration, let's say we are running a program called KinderGym I starting in September of 2010 according to the schedule below.

To define this schedule, we would make sure that our event was of type "class" as shown below.

We would then go on to specify the class dates ands times by clicking on the Class Dates and Times icon in the event setup.

Clicking on the Class Dates and Times icon will show a schedule similar to the one below. If you are editing a pre-existing event, and if registrations have already been received, a warning message will appear asking you not to make changes to the class structure or class dates and times, since doing so would invalidate existing registrations.
For each class time slot, you can specify that date on which the class starts, the start time and the end time. If the checkbox for "auto-calc class end time" is checked and a class length is specified in minutes, the class end-time will be calculated for you automatically to reduce the amount of effort involved in setting up schedules.

Below is an explanation of the key fields for each class time-slot
A
This is the name of the Class Time Slot. Names should be unique, Clicking on the icon to the right will auto-generate a class name based on the class date and time. If two classes of the same time occur on the same date and time should make them unique. For example, enter "Monday 10:20 A" and "Monday 10:20 B".
B
This is the first day of classes. It is not necessarily the case that these dates start in sequence. For example if Monday September 6th was a holiday, Monday classes might start on Monday September 13th while Tuesday classes would start on the 7th. The class time setup is intentionally meant to be flexible to allow every class to start on a different day. Dates may be entered by clicking on the calendar icon or entering the date in the form "MM/DD/YYYY". Using leading zeros for the month and day as appropriate.
C
This field defines the start time for the class in hours and minutes based on a 24 hour clock.
D
This field defines the end time for the class in hours and minutes based on a 24 hour clock. If the auto calc time end time selector is checked, this value will be calculated whenever you enter a class time.

Clicking on the wand icon will auto-generate a name for each class based on the class date and time and insert it in field "A". As explained above, the class time slot names in field A must be unique.

For convenience, this icon will copy the date from the previous time slot into the current row. This saves time when setting up schedules

For convenience, this icon will populate the current date with a value one day later than the previous time-slot. This saves time when setting up schedules.

This convenience icon sets the time in the current time slot to be one hour later than the time slot in the previous row. This saves time when setting up schedules.

This icon can be used to open and close the time slot for registration. If the door is open registrations will be allowed. If the door is closed, this time slot will be closed for on-line registration and the word "closed" will appear on the schedule.

The scissors icon can be used to clear all values in a time slot.

The paste icon copies all values from the previous row.

The save icon quickly saves not only the current row of the schedule, but all rows to the database. It is a good idea to save the schedule periodically when updating it. Clicking on this icon is equivalent to the "Save Settings" button.
