Bulk Edit of Class Properties

Top  Previous  Next

Some large facilities can have twenty or thirty classes in a single session - needless to say, changing the properties for all of these classes can be tedious in the extreme!

To make these classes easier to maintain, a "Bulk Edit" interface exists to allow all classes in a particular session and year to be updated at once.

To use this interface, while logged in as a System Administrator, select "Calendar & Events", "Session Related Functions", "Bulk Edit Classes in Session" as shown below.

Next the interface below will appear.  Select the year and session that you want to edit classes for and click on Submit:

When the screen below appears, select the classes that you want to edit. Classes as you can see are grouped in event categories.  In this example there is only a single event category called Rec Programs.  Using event categories is a good practice because it makes it easier to organize your classes.  Once you've selected the programs to edit "side by side" using the interface below, select the "Vew/Edit Class Definitions" button.  If you have multiple facilities, the display will automatically sub-divide your classes by facility as shown.

For the selected classes, in step 2 you can indicate the properties that want to modify for each class.  It is better to select a smaller number of properties to modify - otherwise the update for can become large and difficult to work with.

The next screen below allows you to see all the settings for the selected classes so you can edit them all at once rather than needing to edit the events individually.
